Architectural Z & L Bracket for Mini/Slimline Maglocks. Z & L brackets are used when the door opens into the secure area. They enable the armature to be fitted above the door opening. This is not necessary on internal doors in most cases, the maglock can be positioned outside the secure area as the armature plate covers the maglock terminals when the door is locked. Architectural L Bracket for Slimline Maglocks (outward opening). L brackets are used when the maglock cannot be fitted to the underside of the doorframe. The L bracket enables the magnet to be positioned so that it may be moved away from the doorframe, giving sufficient space to install the armature plate to the door.
